i have 8 months till THE day and i haven't done much since the kursus kahwin.
fortunately we are going to terengganu this friday to check out and buy some songket for the groom's reception. i'm really looking forward to the 4 day work week then spending a weekend away. mind you i am going with the future in laws so must be on my best behaviour! (not that i act differently in front of them but just need to tone down my selamba-ness).

anyhoo a few weeks back K and I went out on a date. it was our first date since we came back. yes we do see each other almost everyday (kinda hard to escape when you live only a street apart!) but we hadn't gone out properly since August. so to put back a little excitement in the relationship i told him to surprise me. so on one fine sunday morning guess where he took me? THE MUSEUM! :)

we both like going to museums but after visiting some of the oldest museums in london and edinburgh we didn't put much hope on the KL one. much to our surprise, they have improved and revamped the museum. we were very impressed with the exhibitions and different areas. my only vivid memory of the museum when i was little was an indian man sitting in a glass cage surrounded by snakes! whilst kimi's memory was the picture of rashid sidek hung on the wall. luckily malaysian tourist department had some sense and realised that the first place that tourists would find is the museum to learn abt the history of the country. when we visited there was an exhibition on all traditional malay games and you could even play the games ie congkak, teng teng etc. then there were the usual history of malaysia leading up to independence, a section on malay kingdom ie sultan2. did u know that the sultan of the states are all originally related to each other? so the sultan of melaka is like cousins to sultan kedah and so on and so forth. then there was also a section on malaysia today which had pictures of iconic malaysians. so we thought the museum was worth every single sen paid for the entrance fee (RM2) and i would recommend it to anyone! you should go and check it out :)

so on to my next bit of ranting i would like to share my driving tips with everyone,

"always assume that the person in front of you will cut into your lane WITHOUT signalling!"

if you do this, i'm pretty sure that you can avoid any accidents.
also, when will ppl ever realise that when you use the emergency lane that usually CREATES the traffic jams when you try to weasel your way back into the appropriate lane.

okie folks till next time!
